The original Saint Mary of Stamford Parish was established in 1907 and it is the third oldest parish among fourteen Roman Catholic parishes in the City. We are in the Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut, which covers all of Fairfield County. Our Bishop is the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano. Our parish has seen a new beginning thanks to a Decree of Merger by Bishop Caggiano which became effective on May 1, 2020. The parishes of Saint benedict-Our Lady of Montserrat and Saint Mary are no longer two different parishes but one. Our two churches remain open to the faithful. |
